Q: Do these filters have the rubber sealing gasket like the original Germguardian filters?

These filters have cushions on the edges which allows the filters to fit perfectly in your air purifier unit without gaps.

Q: How many prefilters shall I install at one time?

You only need to install one pre-filter and replace every three months.

Q: How often do charcoal filters need to be changed in comparison to the hepa filters?

The carbon pre-filters last for 2-3 months. This duration may differ depending on the use and the surroundings. HEPA filters generally last longer, at around 4-6 months depending on usage. For this reason, TrueGuard HEPA filter replacements typically include more pre-filters than HEPA filters (see individual product descriptions for details).

Q: How do we use the filter and prefilter? Do they go together?

Yes. Place the HEPA filter first with the arrow direction pointing towards the air purifier unit. Then place the carbon pre-filter on the top and tap the edges to fit perfectly.

Q: Is it a snug fit? Same as oem?

These filters are precut to fit your unit perfectly.

Q: How much space does this cover? One room? Multiple rooms?

Small to large size room. Please see the manufacturer recommendation for your specific air purifier unit.

Q: Can this filter be used on top of the original hepa filter, while the thinner carbon filter is still attached to the hepa filter?

No. You must replace the old carbon pre-filter with this new one.

Q: Could you put this in a typical air vent?
